delhi: Govt making ready for redevelopment of 25 non-confirming industrial pockets in Delhi

Authorities company Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Growth Company (DSIIDC) has been tasked to organize the layouts of those unorganised industrial pockets to redevelop them by way of creation of infrastructure and improved services, a senior authorities official mentioned.

The Delhi authorities has allotted Rs 25 crore for the redevelopment work in its funds for 2022-23.

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia whereas presenting the funds in Delhi Meeting had mentioned that redevelopment of those 25 non-conforming industrial areas would create six lakh jobs.

The federal government has focused to rebrand and reposition Delhi as “The Metropolis of Enterprise” by way of redevelopment of those industrial areas.

The redevelopment work will intention to utilise the dysfunctional and sick land parcels on present industrial areas and have interaction them in various financial use, improve financial exercise and generate employment alternatives by selling labour intensive manufacturing and repair industrial actions, the federal government mentioned in a press release.
