India has recorded the “highest ever” annual FDI (international direct funding) influx of USD 83.57 billion in 2021-22, the commerce and business ministry stated on Friday. In 2020-21, the influx stood at USD 81.97 billion, it added.

“India is quickly rising as a most popular nation for international investments within the manufacturing sector,” the ministry stated.

“India has recorded highest ever annual FDI influx of USD 83.57 billion within the Monetary Yr 2021-22,” it famous.

FDI fairness influx in manufacturing sectors has elevated by 76 per cent in 2021-22 (USD 21.34 billion) in comparison with 2020-21 (USD 12.09 billion).

When it comes to high investor international locations, Singapore is on the high with 27 per cent adopted by the US (18 per cent) and Mauritius (16 per cent) over the last fiscal.
