Foreign exchange reserves down $446 million to $428.6 billion


MUMBAI: The nation’s international change reserves fell by $446 million to $428.604 billion within the week to August 30, primarily on account of a drop in international foreign money property, RBI knowledge confirmed on Friday.

Within the earlier week, the reserves declined by a steep $1.45 billion to $429.050 billion. The reserves had touched a life-time excessive of $430.572 billion in August this 12 months.

Within the week to August 30, international foreign money property, a serious element of total reserves, declined by $1.124 billion to $396 billion, the Reserve Financial institution stated. In the course of the week, gold reserves elevated by $682 million to $27.55 billion, in line with the information.
