income deficit: Finance Ministry releases income deficit grant of Rs 7,183.4 crore to 14 states

The Division of Expenditure, Finance Ministry on Wednesday launched the 4th month-to-month installment of the Put up Devolution Income Deficit (PDRD) grant of Rs 7,183.42 crore to 14 states.

The Fifteenth Finance Fee has advisable a complete PDRD grant of Rs. 86,201 crore to 14 states for the continued fiscal. The advisable grant is launched by the division in 12 equated month-to-month instalments.

The states who’ve been advisable PDRD grant throughout 2022-23 embrace Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tripura, Uttarakhand and West Bengal.

Thus far on this monetary yr, the entire income deficit grant launched to states now stands at Rs 28,733.67 crore, the ministry mentioned in a press launch.
