Wheat Flour Exports: Authorities places in place new approval framework for wheat flour exports

India Thursday imposed restrictions on outbound shipments of wheat flour (atta), refined flour (maida) and semolina (rava/sirgi), in a transfer geared toward containing worth rise.

New Delhi had banned wheat exports in Could. Exporters of those commodities would now want approval of the inter-ministerial committee on export of wheat for shipments from July 12.

“Export coverage of wheat flour (atta) stays free however export shall be topic to suggestion of the inter-ministerial committee on export of wheat,” the Directorate Normal of International Commerce mentioned in a notification. The brand new approval framework can be relevant for wheat flour, refined flour, semolina, wholemeal atta and resultant atta.

In accordance with the notification, the mandatory modalities with regard to high quality of wheat flour can be notified individually. The provisions underneath the International Commerce Coverage relating to transitional association wouldn’t be relevant underneath this notification.
