GST: CBIC set to roll out Aadhaar authentication for high-risk candidates

New Delhi: The Central Board of Oblique Taxes and Customs (CBIC) will roll out a biometric-based Aadhaar authentication system for the excessive danger candidates for the Items and Companies Tax (GST) registration based mostly on knowledge analytics and danger parameters.

In an inner communication despatched to the zonal places of work, CBIC stated that the Items and Companies Tax Community (GSTN) is prepared with the system and the power could be initially launched in Puducherry on August 30.

The GSTN had earlier already issued an advisory for the method.

The candidates marked for the biometric based mostly authentication should go to the GST Suvidha Kendra, with correct paperwork. The marked candidates shall be knowledgeable on their registered contact quantity.
