The empowered committee in PLI has additionally authorized Rs 1,000 crore disbursal to beneficiary corporations of the electronics sector.
The scheme was introduced in 2021 for 14 sectors like telecommunication, white items, textiles, manufacturing of medical gadgets, vehicles, speciality metal, meals merchandise, high-efficiency photo voltaic PV modules, superior chemistry cell battery, drones, and pharma with an outlay of Rs 1.97 lakh crore.
