wheat export ban: Egypt rejects ship carrying Indian wheat initially supposed for Turkey: Official

[ad_1]

Egypt barred the entry of a ship carrying 55,000 tonnes of Indian wheat that was initially supposed for Turkey, Egyptian plant quarantine chief Ahmed El Attar stated on Saturday.

“We rejected the ship earlier than it entered Egypt,” he informed Reuters, including that Turkish quarantine authorities had already blocked the arrival of the vessel.

Individually, Egypt, the world’s largest importer of wheat, was anticipating the arrival of its first ever Indian wheat cargo in a while Saturday, bought by the Egyptian personal sector.
