All-India Home Value Index: All-India Home Value Index moderates to three.4 per cent in Q2FY24: RBI knowledge

The all-India Home Value Index (HPI) moderated to three.4 per cent within the July-September quarter of 2023-24 from 4.5 per cent within the year-ago interval, in accordance with knowledge launched by the Reserve Financial institution of India on Thursday. The RBI releases HPI-based on transaction-level knowledge acquired from the registration authorities in 10 main cities.

The cities are Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Jaipur, Kanpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, and Mumbai.

“All-India HPI progress (year-on-year) moderated to three.4 per cent in Q2:2023-24 from 5.1 per cent within the earlier quarter and 4.5 per cent a yr in the past; annual progress in HPI diverse broadly throughout the cities – starting from the excessive progress of 6.5 per cent (Chennai) to a contraction of 0.2 per cent (Jaipur),” the central financial institution mentioned.

On a sequential (quarter-on-quarter) foundation, all-India HPI contracted by 1.2 per cent within the second quarter of 2023-24; seven of the ten cities witnessed value improve in housing registration through the newest quarter.
