eshram: Labour minister Bhupender Yadav launches new options on eShram portal to boost protection for unorganised staff

Union Minister for Labour & Employment Bhupender Yadav launched new options in eShram Portal immediately (Monday), it acknowledged.

The brand new options added in eShram portal will improve the utility of the portal and facilitate ease of registration for unorganised staff, it claimed.

A characteristic of capturing household particulars of migrant employee has been added to the eShram portal, the ministry stated.

It defined that this characteristic will help in offering little one training and ladies centric schemes to the employees who’ve migrated with household.

Additional, it acknowledged {that a} new characteristic on sharing of knowledge of building staff registering on eShram with the involved Constructing and Different Building Employees’ (BOCW) welfare board, has been added to make sure registration of building staff with the respective BOCW board and entry to the schemes meant for them.

The Union minister additionally formally launched Knowledge Sharing Portal (DSP) for sharing of eShram knowledge with states and Union Territories. The information sharing portal will permit sharing of eShram beneficiaries’ knowledge with the respective states and Union Territories in a secured method for focused implementation of social safety/welfare schemes for the unorganised staff registered on eShram.

As on twenty first April 2023, over 28.87 crore unorganised staff have registered on eShram portal, it acknowledged.
