The federal government on Friday exempted advance authorisation holders and export-oriented models (EOUs) from obligatory high quality management orders for imported items which can be used as inputs for exports. “Enabling provisions are made for exempting inputs imported by Advance Authorisation holders and EOUs from obligatory High quality Management Orders (QCOs),” the Directorate Basic of Overseas Commerce (DGFT) mentioned in a notification.
