New Delhi: The federal government has collected about Rs 1,260 crore in taxes until now this fiscal after a brand new TDS regime was introduced in for on-line gaming and commerce in cryptocurrency, CBDT Chairperson Nitin Gupta stated Friday.
About ₹1,080 crore in taxes (beneath the tax deduction at supply head) has been collected from on-line gaming and round Rs 180 crore by way of TDS has been mopped up throughout 2023-24 fiscal from the taxation of digital digital property (cryptocurrency), he stated.
