NEW DELHI: The federal government has permitted exports of 30,000 tonne of non-basmati white rice to Tanzania and 80,000 tonne of damaged rice to Djibouti and Guinea Bissau. The export is permitted by means of Nationwide Cooperative Exports Restricted (NCEL), the Directorate Basic of International Commerce (DGFT) has stated in a notification.

Although exports of non-basmati white rice have been banned since July 20, 2023 to spice up home provide, exports are allowed on the premise of permission granted by the federal government to sure nations to fulfill their meals safety wants on request.
