India is negotiating free commerce agreements with the European Union (EU), the UK, Sri Lanka, and Peru, in line with a year-end evaluation assertion of the commerce ministry. India-European Union (EU) free commerce settlement negotiations had been formally re-launched on June 17 2022.

“Negotiations cowl 23 coverage areas/chapters. Six rounds of negotiations have been held until October 2023,” the ministry mentioned.

“India-Sri Lanka Financial and Know-how Cooperation Settlement (ECTA) negotiations are ongoing with the twelfth spherical of negotiations carried out from thirtieth October to 1st November 2023 in Colombo,” it mentioned.
