rice exports: Govt exempts rice exports to some European nations from inspection certificates for six extra months

Amending an earlier notification, the Directorate Normal of International Commerce (DGFT) mentioned that export of rice (basmati and non-basmati) to EU member states and different European nations specifically UK, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland “solely” would require certificates of inspection from Export Inspection Council/Export Inspection Company.

On Might 29, 2023, the DGFT had introduced the transfer for six months.

“Export to remaining European nations is not going to require a certificates of inspection by the Export Inspection Council (EIC)/Export Inspection Company for export from the date of this notification for a interval of six months,” the DGFT mentioned in a notification Tuesday.
