Final month, unemployment charge surged to eight.3 per cent as employment sequentially fell by 2 million to 394.6 million.
“In September, the unemployment charge has fallen considerably with a rise in labour participation in each city and rural areas,” CMIE managing director Mahesh Vyas advised PTI.
