The commerce and business ministry on Thursday inked a Memorandum of Understanding with e-commerce main Amazon to offer coaching to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) in 20 recognized districts to advertise exports by way of e-commerce. As a part of the MoU, Amazon and Directorate Basic of International Commerce (DGFT) will co-create capability constructing periods, coaching and workshops for MSMEs in districts recognized by the DGFT as a part of the ‘District as Exports Hub’ initiative outlined within the International Commerce Coverage 2023, in a phased method.

Amazon will present coaching by making digital catalogues and tax-related points, amongst different companies.

The capability constructing session will enable MSMEs to find out about imaging, digital cataloguing of their merchandise, tax advisory amongst others.“To allow micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and increase e-commerce exports from the nation, DGFT is collaborating with the varied e-commerce gamers to leverage the Districts as Export Hubs initiative and promote e-commerce exports from the nation,” the ministry mentioned in a press release.

The MoU was signed within the presence of Director Basic of International Commerce (DGFT) Santosh Sarangi, Chetan Krishnaswamy (Vice President, Public Coverage Amazon), and Bhupen Wakankar (Director World Commerce Amazon India).
