gst income: August GST income assortment up 28% YoY at Rs 1.44 lakh cr

The gross GST income collected within the month of August 2022 stood at Rs 1,43,612 crore, up 28% on a year-on-year foundation, the Finance Ministry stated in an announcement on Thursday. With this, the month-to-month GST revenues have exceeded Rs 1.4 lakh crore for six months in a row.

In August, the revenues from import of products have been up 57% and the revenues from home transactions (together with import of providers) have been up 19% from the revenues from these sources throughout the identical month final yr.

“Higher reporting coupled with financial restoration has been having optimistic impression on the GST revenues on a constant foundation. Through the month of July 2022, 7.6 crore e-way payments have been generated, which was marginally increased than 7.4 crore in June 2022 and 19% increased than 6.4 crore in June 2021,” the ministry stated.

In July, the GST assortment was Rs 1.49 lakh crore, the second-highest stage since its introduction in July 2017.
