Exports of ceramics and glassware merchandise touched a “report” USD 3.5 billion in 2021-22, the commerce ministry stated on Sunday. It stated the exports rose due to enhance in shipments of ceramic tiles and sanitaryware merchandise.
India is the world’s second largest producer of tiles. The primary gadgets for export underneath glassware embody articles of glass packing, sanitary fixtures of porcelain, glass mirror, tinted non-wired glass, glass bead and glass wool.
India exports to greater than 125 nations and high locations are Saudi Arabia, the United States, Mexico, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Oman, Indonesia, the United Kingdom and Poland.
